Privacy Policy

Xway PH ("the app", "we") helps drivers in Luzon, Philippines estimate toll fees and fuel cost. This policy explains what information the app uses. We follow the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173).

The short version

No account, no sign-up, no ads. We do not collect your name, email or phone number, and we do not store your location on our servers.

Information the app uses

• Location (optional). If you tap "Use my current location" or start guidance, the app reads your device location to find the nearest toll plaza and show your position on the route. It is processed on your phone and is not sent to us.
• Trip inputs and settings. Your starting point, destination, vehicle class, fuel economy, theme, alert choice, RFID balances and checklist ticks are saved only on your phone.
• Trial and subscription status. To stop the 7-day free trial from restarting each time the app is reinstalled or its data is cleared, the app sends our server a random code made from your device (a one-way hash that cannot be turned back into your name, number or any device identifier) together with the date your trial began. The server stores only that code and date. Payments are handled by Google Play (Android) or the Apple App Store (iPhone); we do not see or store your card or payment details.
• Notifications (optional). If you allow them, the app shows alerts about new fuel price announcements, toll rate changes and toll advisories. To deliver them quickly the app uses Firebase Cloud Messaging, a Google service: Google assigns your app installation an anonymous token and the app subscribes it to a general alerts topic. We do not receive your name, location or any personal detail, and we send the same message to everyone. The app also checks for new prices in the background. You can turn alerts off in the app or in your phone settings.

Information that leaves your phone

• Price updates. The app downloads small public files (fuel prices, toll rates and advisories) from our web host. Like any website, the host may record technical data such as your IP address and request time. We do not use this to identify you.
• Fonts. The app may load fonts from Google Fonts, which may receive your IP address.
• Maps and navigation links. If you tap a link to open Google Maps or Waze, or links to Autosweep, Easytrip or the Toll Regulatory Board, you leave our app and their own privacy policies apply.

Sharing and selling

We do not sell or share your personal information. We do not use advertising or analytics trackers. If we add ads or analytics in the future, we will update this policy and the Play Store data safety form first.

Retention and your choices

Data saved on your phone stays there until you clear the app data or uninstall the app. You can deny or revoke location and notification permissions at any time in your phone settings.

Children

The app is meant for drivers and is not directed to children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
